What is procrastination?
For me its delaying of the given task even if its important saying to my mind that I can do it later.
Why is procrastination bad for your learning ?
Eventually, this will become a habit and affect in the long run in all possible ways.
[ ] Your goals won't be achieved since you didn't study well
[ ] People stop respecting you
[ ] You won't be confident enough
[ ] Live a mediocre life or in survival mode
What happens in your brain when you think about something you don't like or don't want to do?
There is a particular part of the brain called the cortex that released pain and eventually you won't be motivated to do the task. So the best way to deal with this is to do the thing right away and by doing it the pain will go eventually and you might also feel motivated.
"You don't get motivated and do things rather you do things and get motivated"
How would you explain the ⛩️Pomodoro Technique to someone who has never heard of it?
⛩️Pomodoro Technique will make sure you are focused for 25 mins for the reward of 10 mins.
This technique helps to beat procrastination.
What is the most important part of the whole Pomodoro process?
The reward of 10 mins will trigger the brain to get focused for 25 mins. Basically, I am telling my brain to work for 25 mins and I will get whatever I want to do for 10 mins after that. So the brain thinks it is a reward in order to feel good. The reward should be Diffuse Mode practicing so that your brain can relax and send your task to your subconscious mind to solve. It is said that the subconscious brain helps us to think laterally and give us creative solutions to solve problem or gives us a new perspective.
Should you plan to finish a task during a Pomodoro? why or why not?
For me, it doesn't matter since Pomodoro doesn't promise me to finish the tasks in the given 25 mins it basically promises to get focused for 25 mins and the bi-product of it will be the solution. So I won't care much if I am able to focus for 25mins on the solution that will come one or the other way.
What can be good about going into zombie mode?
The best thing about zombie mode is they do only 1 task which is eating brains and they do it no matter what.
"A genius person does what is required just like a Zombie"
Explain the idea of active recall.
Active recall means you will revisit the book whenever you have free time and cross-check your notes so that you are not forgetting what you read. This way we will be learning new things without forgetting whatever we learned.
I use the Readwise app which shows cards every day so that we remember what we have read. we can do it more effectively with other Active Recall Apps
