Basics of Clinical Care

1 = Hand disinfection, fill syringe with sterile 0,9% NaCl solution, then mix it with medication from the bottle / ampoule with a needle, replace the needle with an injection-sized sterile needle, take out the bubbles

1 = Put on non-sterile disposable gloves, localize the site of injection, apply tourniquet above the place of injection

1= Disinfect the skin

1 = Stretch the skin, insert the needle at 15 o -45o angle into the skin – aspirating venous blood, free the tourniquet

1= Deliver the medication, pull the needle out by applying pressure to the injection site with a swab, remove gloves, disinfect hands

1 = Hand disinfection, fill syringe with medication from the bottle / ampoule with a needle, replace the needle with an injection-sized sterile needle, take out the bubbles

1 = Put on non-sterile disposable gloves, localize the site of planned injection, disinfect the skin

1 = Stretch the skin, insert the needle into the skin at 10o angle

1= Slowly inject the medication while watching for a small wheal or blister to appear

1=Pull out the needle, can apply a slight pressure to the injection site with a swab, remove gloves, disinfect hands

1 = Hand disinfection, fill syringe with medication from the bottle / ampoule with a needle, replace the needle with an injection-sized sterile needle, take out the bubbles

1= Put on non-sterile disposable gloves, localize the site of planned injection, disinfect the skin

1 = Grasp (pinch) the skin, insert the needle into the skin at 450 or 900 angle

1 = Slowly inject the medication, not releasing the skin

1=At the same time release the skin and pull out the needle, can apply a slight pressure to the injection site with a swab, remove gloves, disinfect hands

1 = Hand disinfection, fill syringe with medication from the bottle / ampoule with a needle, replace the needle with an injection-sized sterile needle, take out the bubbles

1= Put on non-sterile disposable gloves, localize the site of planned injection, disinfect the skin

1 = Strech the skin, insert the needle into the skin at 900 angle, release the skin and pull the plunger back slightly

1 = Slowly inject the medication

1= Pull out the needle, apply a slight pressure to the injection site with a swab, remove gloves, disinfect hands

1 = Hand disinfection, fill syringe with 5 ml sterile 0,9% NaCl solution, put on non-sterile disposable gloves

1 = Apply the tourniquet, localize the site of catheter insertion, disinfect the skin

1= Stretch the skin, insert the catheter into the skin at 150-450 angle, when blood appears free the tourniquet, pull the needle back lightly and enter the whole length of the catheter into the vein

1 = Remove all needle completely and put on the protection cap, flush catheter with 5 ml 0,9 % NaCl solution, check out if the vein is not ruptured

1 = Fix the catheter with  adhesives, remove gloves, disinfect hands
