Cusp
Elevation or mound on the crown portion of a tooth making up a divisional part of the occlusal surface
Tubercle
Smaller elevation on some portion of the crown produced by an extra formation of enamel
Pits
Small pinpoint depression loacted at the junction of developmental grooves at the terminals of those grooves
Cingulum
Lingual lobe of an anterior tooth. It makes up the bulk of the cervical third of the lingual surface. Its convexity mesiodistally resembles a girdle encircling the lingual surface at the cervical third
Ridge
Any linear elevation on the surface of tooth and is name according to its location
Marginal Ridge
Rounded borders of the enamel that form the mesial and distal margins of the occlusal surfaces of premolars and molars, as well as the mesial and distal margins of the lingual surfaces of the incisors and canines
Triangular Ridge
Descends from the tips of the cusps of molars and premolars towards the central part of the surfaces.
Transverse Ridge
A transverse ridge is the union of two triangular ridges crossing transversely the surface of a posterior tooth
Oblique Ridge
Ridge crossing obliquely the occlusion surfaces of maxillary molars and formed by the union of the triangular ridge of the distobuccal cusp and the distal cusp ridge of the mesiolingual cusp
Fossa
Irregular depression or concavity
Lingual Fossa
Are on the lingual surface of incisors
Central fossa
They are on the occlusal surafce of molars. They are formed by the convergence of ridges terminating at a central point in the bottom of depression where there is junction of grooves.
Triangular Fosaa
They are found in molars and premolars on the occlusal surfaces mesial or distal to marginal ridges.
Sulcus
Long depression or valley in thr surface if a tooth between ridges and cusps, the inclines of which meet at an angle.
Developmental grooves
Shallow groove or line between the primary parts of the crown or root
Supplemental groove
Shallow linesr depression on thr surface of a tooth
Lobe
One of the primary sections of formation in the development of crown. Cusps and mamelins are representatives of lobes.
Mamelon
Any one of the three rounded protuberance found on the incisal ridges if newly erupted incisor teeth
Line angle
Formed by the junction of two surfaces
Point angle
Formed by the junction of three surafces
