job enlargement:
horizontal expansion of the job
adding tasks at the same responsibility/skill
job is redesigned to accommodate new tasks
what is job enrichment?
job enrichment:
vertical expansion of job, give more autonomy
giving employees more responsibility
making people more accountable for their work
give employees more difficult/ complex tasks, so people have to train/ learn/ develop
adding more feedback
job enrichment is not:
adding meaningless tasks
rotating between meaningless tasks
