Autogamy:-

1) It is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of a flower to the stigma of the same flower.

Geitonogamy:-

1) It is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of a flower to the stigma of another flower of the same plant.

Cliestogamy refers to self pollination in which the flowers remains closed and the anther and the stigma remain hidden and lie close to each other.

E.g:- Pea, Pansy.

Large flowers with open petals and exposed reproductive structures are called chasmogamous flowers.

E.g:- Oxalis, Hibiscus

Protandry:-

1. Anthers mature earlier than the stigma.

2. E.g:- Lady's finger, sweet pea, Salvia, Sunflower.

Protogyny:-

1. Stigma matures earlier than the anthers.

2. E.g:- Custard Apple, Peepal.
