Dynamic Fluid bearing: State of friction can be measured by capacity of the bearing (between shaft and outer layer)
Roler bearing: Load can be measured by capacity of the bearing (Between shaft and outer ring —> balls with be pushed flat, therby creating a larger surface area and larger capacity)
Valve: Capacity between Housing and Closing body will indicate opening state

A robust concept is needed and concepts that show weaknesses should be discarded ASAP —> “Rule of ten” - For every development step taken, the cost for change increases by the factor of ten
Use simplified prototypes that focus on the concept of measuring —> e.g. regarding the opening of a valve, The mechanism of the closing is enough
