Means that everybody has the right to gather, process and report information together with the media. This might lead to different perspectives on an incident and more subjectivity in reporting, but it can also create a more complete picture of the issue and its complexity

• Citizens aren’t always aware of the impact their reporting, factual or unsubstantiated, can have on people in modern times, when news is available instantaneously

• They might be indecisive about publishing their stories because they aren’t trained about underlying laws

• Citizens can be a bit of naïve about copyright laws and not realise that the paper can freely use it for its own purposes including profit making
